Memorial Weekend!

We had a blast memorial weekend. We took our new trailer out for the first time with 4 other couples and their kids. Austin and Paxton were buds the whole trip. They are exactly one month apart. They were either pushing eachother down or hugging eachother.

Everytime one of the adults was going to take a side by side out the kids would all pile in so they wouldnt get left behind.
None of the kids wanted to go to bed and the adults wanted to play games so I bribed the kids by turning on a movie and popping popcorn. Soo cute!

My favorite 2 boys in the world having fun.
This is Paxton waiting his turn to catch the football.
Brandon caught a lizard and all of the kids wanted to hold it.
Paxton making himself comfortable in the chair.
Love this picture of Paxton just chilling on the steps with his capri sun.
He is playing in the dirt with his toys but if you look really carefully those are chips in his hand that he keeps dropping then eating. Some of the guys built a little zipline for the kids. Paxton loved it.

Our friends Kirsten and Matt brought there big doberman with them and Paxton was in heaven. Especially since she looks just like our 2 mini dobermans. He wanted to help walk her wherever she went.
My fav pic of my boys. Paxton could ride for hours on whatever Brandon will take him on.

More cute pics of the kids all begging for a ride all of the time.

Paxton's Birthday!

Sunday my little boy turned 2. I cant believe how fast time goes. This is Paxton wanting to drive to his birthday party.
My Dad made him and awesome cake. This is Brewster from the show Chuggington. Paxton's favorite show. Every morning he wakes up and begs to to watch his choo choo show.

Opening presents with Dad. He just wanted to play with whatever one he opened and not open the rest. Apparantly he would of been fine with just one present.
Playing with his little wheel barrow Grandma Jane gave him.

Paxton loved his birthday and everyone spoiled him. I love how much Paxton is changing and becoming a little man.

Easter

Paxton and I went camping this weekend for a couple of days with my family. He had so much fun. I couldnt get him off the four wheelers or come inside.

My mom and dad had a little easter egg hunt for him. He thought it was soo much fun finding all of the eggs. Everytime he would find one he would say "wow!"

He loves to ride his little four wheeler and he has finally learned to steer it all by himself instead of running into things.

He loves to play up on the bunk in Grammy and Papa's trailer. He climbs up and down the ladder all by himself.

Easter morning he woke up to see what the easter bunny brought him. He was soo excited.

The dogs were trying to get in on the action too.

He just wanted to open all of his eggs and pour his candy on the ground. Easter was great this year. It was kind of mellow both of our families were still out of town on Easter so we have been just chilling as a little family.

At home

I am sitting at home in the middle of a Tuesday. Which is unusual for me because I work 8:30 -5. But my poor little boy was up all night with 104 temp and throwing up. So I made him an appt to take him to the doctor. I dropped him off at my mother in laws at 8:15 like normal and told her I would be back at 10. She offered to take him to the doctor but I felt like I am always pawning my motherly dutys off on someone just so we can make a little extra money. But lately I have realized life is too short and my little boy is going to be 2 soon and the time has flown by. I have myself wondering have I been a good mom? Have I played with him enough? Does he know I love him more than anything? Sometimes I just get to wrapped up in the wordly things. Am I skinny enough? Did I work out today? Is the house clean and laundry done? All these things have been bothering me lately. And I didnt realize that I probably miss out on alot of things. My mother in law has been watching Paxton twice a week since he was 6 weeks. And a few weeks ago she said she needed more time for herself and wasnt going to be able to watch him as often. And at first I was mad, but then I realized I am the mom. Paxton is my priority and it is about time I start acting like it. My mother in law raised her kids as a stay at home mom and its not her responsibility to raise mine. So lately I have dropped everything for him. So here I sit and he has finally fallen asleep and looks so peaceful. And instead of stressing that work isnt going to survive without me or that I am not going to get to go to the gym today on my lunch break. I am going to count my blessings that I have Paxton in my life and spend every second with him because there is going to be a time when he doesnt want me to hold him anymore. Or lay in bed with me when he isnt feeling well. I am grateful for him and my wonderful husband.
